Declutter and Lose weight

Is the weight of your "stuff" holding you back?We all hold onto things for a "rainy day", but decluttering can have a fabulous effect - of making us feel lighter and free - physically and emotionally!   So what's holding you back?????

What's important to you in your life?

.............. I ask all of my coaching clients this question. It's a great starting point for decluttering and "losing weight".For how do we know where to begin living to our full potential, if we don't have a sense of where to start and what to let go of.The weight of our "stuff" can really weigh us down, and hold us back in life. We can lose weight - the material baggage in our life and feel more energised, focused and for many more positive! We hold onto material items, we hold onto hurts from the past and this creates busyness in our physical and mental bodies. If we can declutter and simplify we can then make way for the new energy, experiences and opportunities to come in. Imagine that?

Start Small

Start with the material items and begin to create a habit of simplifying and decluttering that you can take forward and expand into other aspects of your life like unhelpful thoughts and emotions. Connect with me so we can deeper into decluttering beyond the material and worldly aspects in your life! But for now let's start with the tangible and gross, physical items.

Steps to move forward

1. Think of one thing that is important to you right now.  e.g.: being active2. Identify what material items (and emotions so we can connect about that later together) are serving you and what is not:

  • what is absolutely not serving you and can give away/donate (rollerblades I haven't used for 10 years)

  • what you are not sure about - so set them aside in a cupboard for a few months - if you don't use them, then dontate them. (golf clubs - would like to hit a few balls in the back yard, if I can be confident to miss the cows)

  • and what is serving you right now (Yoga mat!!) so you need to keep them!

You may prefer to work in rooms within your house, rather than an activity.Love to hear how you go with this short activity, drop me a line. And if you would like to go deeper, connect with me for some 1:1 personalised coaching either in the studio or via skype.bebliss, gabrielle  xx
